Calum Tollervey completed his Masters degree in Photonics and Optoelectronics at St. Andrews University in 2015. In 2016 he joined ASTEC on the graduate scheme, which he completed in 2018 to become a full staff member. His work focuses on the CLARA photoinjector gun laser, with his main area of responsibility in the transverse beam shaping though spatial filtering and refractive shaping methods. He provides laser support for CLARA beam operations and has worked on temporal pulse shaping and improvements to the gun laser transport line.
