The IOP Plasma Wakefield meeting was held at Daresbury Laboratory on the 18th June. The one-day meeting was attended by 45 delegates and brought together experts from nine UK departments and institutes to discuss recent advances in plasma wakefield accelerators and strategies for advancing the UK’s interests in this area.
The program of talks covered many aspects regarding Laser and Particle driven Wakefield accelerators, enabling technologies and their applicability to free-electron lasers. The meeting ended with a session chaired by Professor Andrei Seryi of the John Adams Institute, opening the discussion on common directions and strategies to support the activities of within the UK plasma wakefield community.
