Professor Chris Prior delivered the prize lecture at the IoP’s Physics Particle Accelerators and Beams Group Annual Conference 2015 at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. The captivating lecture reflecting on “A Life in Simulation” is now available online (link opens in a new window).
Chris received the Prize for Outstanding Professional Contribution from the PAB Group in 2014, his citation reading: “To Christopher Prior for his seminal contributions to the mathematical modelling of intense particle beams - in particular for his development of novel simulation methods and codes; for his generation of innovative accelerator concepts; for his educational and intellectual leadership; and for his many related contributions to the success of state-of-the-art accelerator facilities in the UK and around the world.”
